Compassion

The world presents some of us with good fortune, just as it presents others with great difficulty. If you have been fortunate enough to experience excess in your resources, please consider giving back to worthy causes. I have been personally involved with these wonderful organizations, and would humbly suggest these groups as excellent targets for your generosity and compassion.

"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." -Mahatma Gandhi

Cherry Children's Music Outreach

Cherry Children's Music Outreach is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization formed in the spring of 2005 to bring research-based, skill-building, music education to disadvantaged young children in the Metro DC area.

These classes enhance brain development and motor coordination, and foster a joy of music and learning. With more than 10 years of success, our outreach program proudly serves children ages 1.5 to 6 years through class programming in daycare and HEAD START centers that support poverty level and low-income families, and also children ages 3 to 13 years through tuition assistance to performing arts classes/camps. CCMO offers these classes at NO COST to the children OR the centers.

From a pilot program of just 4 classrooms at Martha’s Table in DC in 2005, CCMO now delivers musical education to 900 disadvantaged kids throughout 12 centers in Maryland and the District of Columbia!.
