Lomi Lomi

Lomi Lomi massage is based on the Hawaiian philosophy of Huna relating to bodywork and healing. A fundamental assumption of Huna is that everything seeks harmony and everything seeks love. Also known as the "Loving Hands" massage, this technique works gently yet deeply into the muscles with continuous, flowing strokes, totally nurturing the body and enabling the recipient to relax, give in and simply be.

The Hawaiians look at things in terms of energy flow, following the idea that an idea or belief can block energy flow as much as muscle tension can. Lomi Lomi helps release the blockages, whilst at the same time giving the energy new direction. Beyond the physical experience Lomi Lomi also facilitates healing on the mental, emotional, and spiritual levels.

Shiatsu

Pressure applied to points on the body promotes energy flow and corrects disharmonies. In addition to being a deeply relaxing experience, Shiatsu helps relieve stress, treat pain and illness, and contributes to a patient's overall health and wellbeing.

Shiatsu regulates the automatic nervous system activity and stimulates the circulatory, lymphatic and hormonal systems. Poor posture, joint problems, sprains, arthritis, sciatica, acute and chronic neck and back pain, sinusitis, and bronchitis are treatable with Shiatsu.

Neuromuscular

Neuromuscular therapy is a specialized form of deep tissue massage in which digital pressure and friction are used to release areas of strain in the muscle. These areas of strain are called tender or trigger points and are the cause of muscular pain symptoms.

Swedish

Swedish massage is a modality that involves circular pressure applied by the hands and palms, firm kneading, percussion-like tapping, bending and stretching in order to to relax the entire body.

This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of bloodflow returning to the heart. This flushes muscle toxins through your circulatory system and increases the level of oxygen in the blood, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

The Trager approach is a form of somatic education to help release deep-seated physical and mental patterns to facilitate deep relaxation, increased physical mobility, and mental clarity.

Using gentle touch and a combination of passive and active movement, the recipient intuitively learns how to move with less effort.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release (MFR) therapy focuses on releasing muscular shortness and tightness, helpful with Temporo-Mandibular Joint (TMJ) disorder, carpal tunnel syndrome, fibromyalgia, and migraine headaches.

The goal of myofascial therapy is to stretch and loosen the fascia so that it and other contiguous structures can move more freely, and the patient's motion is restored. For this reason, myofascial therapy is sometimes referred to as 'myofascial release' therapy.

Gestalt Psychology

Gestalt therapy was developed on the principle that humans are best viewed as a whole entity consisting of body, mind, and soul, and best understood when viewed through their own eyes, not by looking back into the past but by bringing the past into the present.

Gestalt, meaning "whole," emphasizes that to alleviate unresolved anger, pain, anxiety, resentment, and other negative feelings, emotions must be actively expressed in the present time.

“I do my thing and you do your thing.
I am not in this world to live up to your expectations,
And you are not in this world to live up to mine.
You are you, and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, it's beautiful.
If not, it can't be helped.”

Reflexology is gentle manipulation or pressing on certain parts of the foot to produce an effect elsewhere in the body. This promotes deep relaxation and balance in the body, and can decrease anxiety, improve headaches, and improve overall wellbeing.

Polarity Therapy

Polarity Therapy is a mixture of both Eastern and Western energy therapies, to balance the energy flow  between the opposite "poles" of the body. This technique combines massage, stretching exercises, nutritional advice and self-awareness.

Craniosacral therapy bathes the brain in craniosacral fluid, nourishing the gray matter, facilitating neural connections.

This technique combines unique, targeted massage with pure, authentic essential oils for a deeply harmonizing, rejuvenating, and relaxing experience.

The technique, developed by Young Living Founder D. Gary Young, draws from his experience with Native American wellness traditions and provides a revolutionary means of aligning the body and mind.

Rain-Drop Technique

Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).

This modality can reduce stress hormone levels and heart rate while boosting mood and relaxation by triggering the release of oxytocin and serotonin.
